Rubels and angels is a pocket friendly restaurant located in 52 Ogunlana drive, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.

Before I go into details of the food, I’d like to give a big shout out to @rubelsandangels. Their customer service is top notch, amazing reception but that could have been because they knew who I was (If you’ve been there, please tell me your experience in the comment section) I would give them 8/10 for customer relations.

We had their Pack of 9 which is N5,500( with free chips & chapman) with their pineapple and ginger juice which costs N550.
I went with my friends so 3 people had to get extra chips at 400 each

Let me start from the juice because I love it( I want more😭) I generally love the combination “pineapple and ginger”. Although I was a little scared to try it but the Juice was good, really good💃🏽💯

The chicken is amazing, just right, not too hard, not soaked in oil, it was well quoted(I’d say it’s better thank KFC’s crispy chicken, my personal opinion sha)

The chips was okay. I don’t think I really payed attention to it, I ate it in a hurry because I was very hungry.😂😂

Overall I’d give them a solid 8/10

To travel is to eat, taste your way around the world.

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world” meanwhile some of y’all are cranky because you don’t know the value of food, yes, I said it because a hungry man is an angry man

One of the best decisions I have ever made is going into food blogging/vlogging. I’ve always loved food, especially junks. And I assure you that food makes me completely happy because that is the key to my heart, if you ever offend me, just buy me food. Although I don’t eat much but I love eating regardless, mare looking at food makes me so happy. I totally agree with the person that “laughter is brightest in the place where food is”.

Everyone undoubtedly knows how much I love travelling and food, but I don’t think they know that one of the many reasons I love traveling is because of food.

how adventurous am i with food?

For me one of the most exciting aspect of travel is trying new dishes and exploring different traditional meals. Food is our common ground, a universal experience.

Although I’m always eager to try out new dishes but I’m not very receptive to them, however the Yoruba in me wouldn’t let me be great (I love pepper). The hardest time for me was 2018, I was in USA for 3 months and I was living far from town, I was working in an organization that provided us three square meals with coffee all day and we weren’t allowed to cook, I ate all sort from white rice and butter to microwaved ramen to eating bread repeatedly. The only time I could get proper fast food was if a friend was driving to town or willing to drive me to town.

why food is an important part of travel

Travel and food are a package that cannot be separated. “food is everything we are. It’s an extension of nationalist feeling, ethnic feeling, your personal history, your province, your region, your tribe” – Anthony Bourdain

Anyway, that one is gist for another day my point is food is a very important aspect of life (my life) as it is an important aspect of travel, which is why I decided to go into food blogging and restaurant reviews, because what better way to be happy than to be around food, there really is no sincerer love than the love of food.

I’d end by saying, I’m not a glutton I’m an explorer of food so when I say call me Simi the explorer, I’m not just talking about travel.

How receptive are you to new meals???

Tell me what you love most about travelling💃🏽

I and my friends started a series called Food Can’t Kill Us, this one is for my fellow food lovers.
The first restaurant on our list is CREPAWAY.

Crepaway is the leading casual restaurant in Lebanon. They have a trendy ambiance which
Uplifts you, it is the perfect place to relieve stress after an overwhelming day, especially because their customer service is great, and their food is the icing on the cake, freshly prepared and tasty.
Getting to CREPAWAY should not be a problem as it is on one of the most busy streets in Lagos.

I had their Asian wings, Barbeque wings, fries and pineapple juice and I’m definitely going to be visiting again💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

Their price range is in between 1,700 to 7,800, making is easy to eat pleasantly on a budget💃🏾💃🏾
